At The Animal Clinic our professional team of vets and nurses care passionately about animals and treat every patient as a sentient being. Every member of our team is hand selected for their compassion and ability to go above and beyond for our clients. They have the skills to provide a timely diagnosis and first-class veterinary treatment.


Veterinary Surgeon


Margit joined the Animal Clinic in 2005. After graduating from the Veterinary University of Vienna in 1998 and gaining experience at a clinic in Austria, she was keen to broaden her horizon by working in the UK. She spent several years working in Walsall, Wellingborough and North-West London before deciding to find out what life was like South of the river (much better of course) and moved to Blackheath.
Margit is not only interested in providing the best care for cats and dogs, but also has a big heart for small furries and works closely with Greenwich Rabbit Rescue and Animal Samaritans.
She is an OV (Local Veterinary Inspector) which means that she is able to issue Pet passports and Export Certificates for your pet.

Margit usually works Monday to Thursday. Book your appointment to see wonderful Margit.


Veterinary Surgeon


Mary qualified from Dublin in 1994. She has been in practice for several years in London but has also enjoyed working in Yorkshire and Ireland.
She has a particular interest in geriatric medicine, radiography and oncology however she enjoys all aspects of general practice. Mary works here part time and also at Blackheath Vets our other local clinic.

Mary usually works on Friday. Book your appointment to see wonderful Mary.

Nursing Team

Head Nurse


Our wonderful Head Nurse Natalie, joined The Animal Clinic team in 2021. Natalie has been working in the Veterinary industry since 2012, going on to qualify as a Nurse in 2015. Since then, Natalie has continued to develop her skills, carrying out further studies to become a Pet Bereavement Counsellor and obtaining a nurses certificate in anaesthesia. Natalie is particularly interested in general anaesthesia, analgesia and animal welfare.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys reading, socialising and visiting the countryside. She also loves spending time with her beloved cat Charlie.

Registered Veterinary Nurse


Tasha qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with Blackheath Vets in 2015 and has been with us for nearly 10 years and now joined our Animal Clinic team. She spends most of my time looking after her 8 year old rescue dog Poppy and her 3 year old son.

She loves going to music festivals and concerts. Tasha also very passionate about animal welfare and enjoy cooking vegan food at home in her spare time.


Registered Veterinary Nurse


Suzy started working in a cattery at the back of a vets 4 years ago and a few months in, she started to help out in the veterinary surgery.  This soon turned into a full time position and began her training as a nurse and qualified in December 2020.

In her spare time, she enjoys  singing, yoga and she also has a dog called Gizmo 🙂

Student Veterinary Nurse


Riai joined us here at The Animal Clinic in May 2016. She has previously worked and studied in the Equine Industry. Upon leaving University, she accepted a placement working in a Veterinary Hospital in Maidstone, where she gained experience in an out of hours practice, dealing with hospitalised patients.
She accepted her position here as a Veterinary Care Assistant to gain further experience with Small Animals and expand on her knowledge and skills required for the industry.
She is currently undertaking further study to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse


Veterinary Care Assistant


Andreea joined our wonderful team at The Animal Clinic at the beginning of 2021. Andreea came to the UK from Romania to study Animal Behaviour at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and she is now taking her practical skills even further as she looks forward to starting her Veterinary Nursing Course with us.

Andreea is a true animal lover, with a particular interest in exotics and wildlife species. She also has a soft spot for small furries and has an adorable white hamster called Chita at home.

Outside of work, Andreea loves dancing, travelling around the world, spending time with loved ones and making every minute count.


Veterinary Care Assistant


Polly started working at The Animal Clinic at the beginning of 2021. She started her career with the Celia Hammond Animal Rescue Charity back in 2018. Polly has a keen interest in rabbits and would love to one day train as a Veterinary Nurse.

A keen animal lover, Polly has 2 rabbits, a dog and a crested gecko at home!


Registered Veterinary Nurse


Nessa joined the team in 2021, she began her nursing journey in Cranleigh, near Guildford in 2016. She qualified in 2018 and has done further qualifications to be a Pet Bereavement Counsellor and a small mammal exotics certificate. When not at work Nessa enjoys looking after her two bunnies and is a strong advocate for rabbit welfare.


Veterinary Care Assistant


Samirah is an avid animal lover and has been a veterinary care assistant since 2018 and can often be found spending time in our wards helping to give care to all our inpatients. There’s no shortage of cuddles! Samirah hopes to train as a veterinary nurse in the future.

In her spare time, Samirah loves to practice Aromatherapy, exercise, LED therapy and trampolining!

She will be starting her nurse training at TAC in January 2022


Support Team

Veterinary Receptionist


Josie is one of our wonderful receptionists and has been part of the Animal Clinic team since 2019.  Josie loves to meet and greet all of you and your pets.  Josie has quite a menagerie of pets at home, including 3 dogs, a cat, a rabbit, a tortoise, a fish and two birds – she adores all animals!  But not so keen on spiders!
