Veterinary Surgeon

Mary

Mary qualified from Dublin in 1994. She has been in practice for several years in London but has also enjoyed working in Yorkshire and Ireland.
She has a particular interest in geriatric medicine, radiography and oncology however she enjoys all aspects of general practice. Mary works here part time and also at Blackheath Vets our other local clinic.

Mary usually works on Friday. Book your appointment to see wonderful Mary.

Raffaella MRCVS

Raffaella Graduated in 2002 in Turin in Italy. She owned her own little practice in Italy initially before deciding to come to UK with family. She has been working as a vet in London since 2017. Rafaella joined the Animal Clinic in 2019 initially as a locum joining the team permanently in 2020. At present she can be found caring for pets at the clinic on Mondays, Wednesday
and Thursdays.

Rafaella enjoys small animal internal medicine and diagnostic imaging, she began an advanced imaging certificate in February 2022.

Linda graduated as a veterinary surgeon in Milan, in 1996 bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clinic.

Known locally as one of the most passionate vets in the area being highly competent with both surgical and medical cases.  Linda not only has incredible experience with dogs and cats, she has a wealth of experience in Exotics (rabbits and more!) having previously headed up an exotics-focused clinic treating a varied range of species, including birds, reptiles, and small rodents.  Linda has also had 9 years of experience working in a zoo but we can be sure she won’t be treating any Elephants here!

Linda’s hobbies include Hiking, Skiing, Fly Fishing, and Cooking.

Gemma RVN

Gemma Fisher qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2009 and since then she has become a fear free advocate. Gemma is interested in animal behaviour and nutrition. When not in the surgery she can be found at home with her family normally completing another course.

Senior Nurse

Natalie

Our wonderful Senior Nurse Natalie, joined The Animal Clinic team in 2021. Natalie has been working in the Veterinary industry since 2012, going on to qualify as a Nurse in 2015. Since then, Natalie has continued to develop her skills, carrying out further studies to become a Pet Bereavement Counsellor and obtaining a nurses certificate in anaesthesia. Natalie is particularly interested in general anaesthesia, analgesia and animal welfare.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys reading, socialising and visiting the countryside. She also loves spending time with her beloved cat Charlie.

Alice

Alice has been a qualified RVN for over 8 years. She has come back to the team part-time after having a daughter in June 2021 and enjoys consulting now. She has one little fur baby called Django, a 10 year old terrier cross breed.
Alice is still undergoing her Canine Physiotherapy Degree in her own time, juggling work, life and a 1 year old!

Shanna

Shanna joined us at the beginning of 2022 as a student veterinary nurse.
She started her veterinary career at a 24 hour veterinary hospital in Sidcup, working her way up from being a client care assistant to beginning her veterinary nursing training in 2020 and she will be qualifying at the end of this year.
Whilst training she has developed an interest in medical nursing and likes looking after our inpatients when she has the opportunity.
At home she has a multitude of animals, which include 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and a horse.
When she has free time, she like to spend it socialising with her friends and horse riding.

Renata

Renata qualified as a vet nurse in December 2022, but has worked in practice for 4 years.  She loves all aspects of nursing but particularly interested in patient care.  Renata has a 13-year-old, short legged Jack Russel and have 6 cats within her family!

Holly

Our Veterinary Nurse Holly has joined us at the beginning of 2023 having worked in London as a qualified RVN for seven years.  An advocate for holistic care, and an interest in surgical nursing, she is particularly passionate about supporting our patients and their families when they come in for procedures. Holly‘s support also extends to our team, as a clinical supervisor for our student nurses.

Veterinary Care Assistant

Polly

Polly started working at The Animal Clinic at the beginning of 2021. She started her career with the Celia Hammond Animal Rescue Charity back in 2018. Polly has a keen interest in rabbits and would love to one day train as a Veterinary Nurse.

A keen animal lover, Polly has 2 rabbits, a dog and a crested gecko at home!

Henrietta

Henrietta joined us in June 2022, and has been working as a veterinary care assistant for over 3 years and loves every minute of it.

Veterinary Receptionist

Josie

Josie is one of our wonderful receptionists and has been part of the Animal Clinic team since 2019.  Josie loves to meet and greet all of you and your pets.  Josie has quite a menagerie of pets at home, including 3 dogs, a cat, a rabbit, a tortoise, a fish and two birds – she adores all animals!  But not so keen on spiders!
